At the meeting, the relevant person in charge of the Wuhan Urban Construction Bureau introduced that in recent years, Wuhan has vigorously promoted the application of green buildings, prefabricated buildings, renewable energy, and green building materials, implemented the entire process of "carbon reduction", and comprehensively improved the low-carbon level of the construction sector.

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Wuhan City comprehensively promoted the review of green building design in the review of construction drawings. Renewable energy technologies such as solar hot water, air source heat pump, ground source heat pump, and photovoltaic power generation have been widely used. The development of prefabricated buildings has changed from pilot demonstration to comprehensive promotion, and Wuhan has been rated as "National Prefabricated Building Model City".

The relevant person in charge of the Wuhan Urban Construction Bureau stated that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Wuhan will basically establish a policy system and an industrial system for the coordinated development of intelligent construction and new-type building industrialization, and create a centralized and contiguous demonstration of green buildings and a demonstration of high-star green buildings. Promote the diversification and large-scale comprehensive utilization of renewable energy, reduce the carbon emission intensity of buildings by improving the development quality of building energy efficiency and green buildings, further improve the energy efficiency of buildings, improve the efficiency of building energy use, and improve the quality of buildings.
