The Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Shantou City, Guangdong Province held a symposium on promoting the development of prefabricated buildings

On August 20, the Shantou Municipal Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau held a city-wide symposium to promote the development of prefabricated buildings to publicize and implement relevant provincial and municipal prefabricated building policies, documents and standards, introduce the application of prefabricated buildings, and exchanges to promote the development of prefabricated buildings. The meeting was presided over by the leaders of Shantou Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau. The responsible comrades of the Construction Technology Section of the Municipal Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau, the Municipal Quality Safety Center, the relevant comrades of the housing construction departments of the districts and counties, and the quality supervision agencies, and some real estate development enterprises, construction enterprises, and component production enterprises in charge of the leaders attended the meeting.

This symposium set up two special sessions for administrative departments and enterprises. The meeting reviewed the spirit of a series of documents on the development of prefabricated buildings by provinces and cities in recent years, analyzed the current situation of prefabricated development in Shantou City, and exchanged ideas on the next step to accelerate the development of prefabricated buildings in Shantou. At the meeting, Guangdong Donghong Housing Technology Co., Ltd. combined its own experience in participating in prefabricated construction projects inside and outside the province, and made a special report on the application of prefabricated construction. Participants actively spoke, conducted in-depth discussions on policy promotion and technical support, and achieved the expected results.

The meeting pointed out that advancing the development of prefabricated buildings is an important part of the industrialization of new buildings and an important part of promoting the high-quality development of the construction industry. In recent years, the state and the province have successively issued a series of policies and compiled supporting standards and specifications, providing a strong guarantee for the development of prefabricated buildings. Housing construction departments at all levels, real estate development enterprises, construction units, and parts and component manufacturers in the city must give full play to the spirit of the special zone of daring to venture and test. Emancipate the mind, and earnestly implement the work requirements of the "Shantou City Vigorously Develop Prefabricated Buildings Implementation Plan" to ensure that all objectives and tasks are completed on schedule. It is necessary to improve the industry technology research mechanism, improve the quality assurance system, increase production capacity, and make every effort to promote the widespread application of prefabricated construction methods in Shantou.
