The first steel box girder of Shanghai Lianggang Avenue rapid project was successfully hoisted

The Lingang New Area Management Committee stated that the first steel structure box girder of the Lianggang Avenue (New Siping Highway-S2) rapid project was successfully hoisted, marking the completion of all the first parts of the structural project! The construction is located at the cross-river crossing of Yuyu Road. The 4-span steel box girder will be closed in mid-September.

The joint of Yuyu Road has a total length of 250 meters and a total weight of 2753 tons. The maximum span is 75 meters and the maximum component weight is about 114.5 tons. It will be closed after the lifting is completed in mid-September.

The first steel box girder to be hoisted this time departed from the Nantong production base of Shanghai Construction Engineering Steel Structure on August 16 and was transported to Shanghai by special transport vehicle by ferry. The whole journey is about 300 kilometers, and it takes 12 hours to reach the site. The construction method of efficient use of mechanical equipment and double cranes ensures rapid and stable lifting.
