Yesterday, in the Zilang Science and Technology City by the Zilang Lake, the Nantong Research Institute of Prefabricated Buildings and Intelligent Structures and the National Civil Structure Prefabricated Assembly Engineering Technology Research Center was inaugurated. The “fertile soil” of Nantong Innovation District, a thick planting source of scientific and technological innovation, has produced the fruits of scientific research. At present, my country is vigorously promoting the prefabricated construction industry, which will change the original construction methods. The core of the “prefabricated building” system is the promotion and integration of industrialization and informatization. The institute is led by Ou Jinping, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Li Guoqiang, a foreign academician of the Royal Belgian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the director of the National Civil Structure Prefabrication Engineering Research Center. Promote building modernization with integrated design and automated manufacturing, and build a smart building platform with engineering data and intelligent management. The research institute will build a prefabricated green smart building technology innovation and research center with internationally advanced, domestic first-class, high-end scientific research talents and international influence, leading the development of the two major industries of prefabricated buildings and smart structures nationwide.

"Nantong is a well-known hometown of construction in the country and a fertile ground for the development of the construction industry. This is the main reason why we look at the Nantong Innovation District." According to Gong Hai, the dean of the research institute, Nantong has a solid foundation in the construction industry, and the intelligent assembly construction industry is developing rapidly.

Last year, the research institute completed five application research and development projects, and cooperated with Nantong Vocational University and Zhiju Prefabricated Building Green Building Innovation Center to build a PC process research and development and training base. More than 500 prefabricated construction workers participated in the training and lectures at the base, which greatly improved the professional skills of Nantong prefabricated construction industry personnel."In the future, we hope that through research and application in the Nantong Innovation Zone, we will set several standards for my country's intelligent assembly construction industry, not only serving Nantong, but also serving the whole country." He said that the institute plans to host the "2020 China Intelligent Construction Convergence Development Industry Summit and Exhibition" in the second half of 2020.,From the perspective of the development of the intelligent construction industry, it will link technology, industry and economy, and outline the integration and development of the construction industry's transformation and upgrading.

The "New City Center" is a new functional positioning assigned by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government this year to the innovation zone, with the goal of building a technological innovation center, a financial business center and a corporate headquarters center. Since its launch in September 2016, Nantong Innovation Zone has been focusing on the R&D industry in accordance with the "1+3+N" idea. Accurately connect with the three leading industries of smart construction, high-end textiles, and new-generation information technology, aiming at several industries that conform to the industry development orientation, such as biomedicine and precision medical devices, and are conducive to exerting their own advantages. Actively attract scientific and technological projects and high-end talents, vigorously build a regional innovation ecosystem, and make phased progress. Up to now, four research institutes have been established, including the Yangtze River Delta Optoelectronics Research Institute of Peking University and the Institute of Intelligent Perception, Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and more than 120 scientific and technological projects have been signed.
