The total output value of the construction industry in Hunan Province exceeded 500 billion yuan in the first half of the year

The reporter learned the latest data from the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics. In the first half of the year, the total output value of the construction industry in Hunan exceeded 500 billion yuan, a record high over the same period, and became one of the ten regions with more than 500 billion yuan in China.

Statistics show that in the first half of the year, Hunan's construction enterprises (general contracting and professional contracting enterprises above the qualification level, the same below) achieved a total construction industry output value of 542.911 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%, and an average increase of 11.0% in the two years. Among them, the output value of construction engineering accounted for 86.0%, and the output value of installation engineering accounted for 7.8%.

With the positive development of the domestic economy and increasing market demand, the value of contracts signed by construction enterprises in Hunan Province has increased well. A total of 2,066.885 billion yuan was signed in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 26.7% and an increase of 18.6% over the first half of 2019. Among them, more than 30% of the newly signed contracts this year amounted to 625.610 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%.

From the perspective of the proportion of output value completed in other provinces, Hunan's construction industry has a relatively high degree of export. In the first half of the year, Hunan construction enterprises completed a total output value of 194.847 billion yuan in other provinces, an increase of 22.1% year-on-year, accounting for 35.9%, and the degree of outward orientation ranked eighth in China.

The construction industry has developed steadily, bringing more job opportunities to Hunan. In the first half of the year, the province's average number of people engaged in construction activities was 2.0995 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, making it one of the eight regions with the largest number of construction workers in China.
