Shushan District, Hefei City, Anhui Province, strictly adopts the general contracting model in prefabricated projects

In order to implement the "Guiding Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Vigorously Developing Prefabricated Buildings" (Guobanfa [2016] No. 71), the policy document on prefabricated buildings should in principle adopt the general contracting model requirements, in the government-invested prefabricated projects and social-invested prefabricated projects in Shushan District in recent years, construction units are strictly required to adopt a general contracting model to improve the quality and efficiency of project construction.

The systematic characteristics of prefabricated construction projects determine that the development of prefabricated buildings will inevitably require the coordination of the entire industry chain to achieve an effective connection between design, production, and construction. The development of prefabricated buildings and the application of general contracting management models can effectively establish a collaborative management system, break through the barriers of the construction industry chain, and solve the integration of design, production, and construction. Through standardized modular design, standardized production, BIM technology application and other methods to solve the problem of disconnection in the design, production, construction and other links. Adopting the general contracting model can also ensure a high degree of organization of project construction, optimize resources and maximize overall benefits.

In terms of the starting point and end point of the current development of prefabricated buildings, on the one hand, it is to implement the requirements of supply-side structural reforms and the development of new urbanization. On the other hand, it is to solve the long-standing problem of extensive growth in the development of China's construction industry, realize the transformation of production methods through the development of prefabricated buildings, and finally establish an advanced technical system, an efficient management system and a modern industrial system.
