On August 12, the reporter learned from the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Shanxi Province that as of now, 18 prefabricated construction industrial bases in the province have been completed and put into production, with a total of 18.09 million square meters of prefabricated buildings implemented.

In recent years, Shanxi has promoted the development of standardization of prefabricated buildings, and introduced measures such as "Guidelines for Prefabricated Building Design in Shanxi Province", "Management Measures for Prefabricated Building Industry Bases", and "Management Measures for Prefabricated Building Demonstration Projects." Continue to promote the implementation of prefabricated construction projects and promote the construction of prefabricated construction industrial bases.

According to Zhang Xuefeng, deputy director of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Shanxi Province, Shanxi's green building area currently accounts for 73.7% of the newly built building area, and the energy efficiency of new buildings has increased by 30%. 18 prefabricated construction industry bases were completed and put into production, and a total of 18.09 million square meters of prefabricated buildings were implemented.

At present, the annual output value of the construction industry in Shanxi province has exceeded 500 billion, with more than 1.3 million employees, and the added value of the construction industry as a percentage of GDP has stabilized at more than 5.3%. The number of construction enterprises with special qualifications has increased from 5 at the end of 2012 to 20, and has taken the lead in implementing the life-long responsibility system for construction engineering quality in the country.

Zhang Xuefeng said that Shanxi will actively cultivate key enterprises, accelerate the construction of prefabricated building industrial bases and projects, cultivate star-rated green buildings, ultra-low energy-consumption buildings, etc., and continue to improve the level of building energy conservation and green buildings.
