Quanzhou City, Fujian Province: The penetration rate of civil green buildings exceeds 90%

The reporter learned from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology that in recent years, Quanzhou has strengthened publicity and guidance, developed green building materials, and promoted the application of green building materials, and achieved certain results.

For a period of time, Quanzhou has publicized and implemented green building materials policies through WeChat public accounts and other methods, went deep into building materials companies, and assisted and guided companies to apply for green building materials product certification. Up to now, 45 building materials companies have obtained the "Green Building Materials Evaluation Mark" in the province, of which 16 are in Quanzhou City; another 5 building materials companies and 10 products have obtained the "China Green Products" certification.

At present, bright spots in various fields of green building materials in Quanzhou are frequent. For example, Quanzhou City has promoted the production of green ecological wall materials, with an application rate of more than 90%; the promotion of ready-mixed mortar, enterprises and output accounted for more than 60% of the province. The total construction area of the construction industrialization application project reached 6.23 million square meters, ranking in the forefront of the province; the promotion of green ceramic manufacturing, the output of ceramic tiles accounted for 36% of the country, and cleaner production was basically achieved.

Through the promotion of the design source, Quanzhou green building materials have made new breakthroughs in the application of civil and industrial buildings, and the living environment has been further improved. According to statistics from the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in 2020, there will be 194 green building projects with a construction area of more than 11.43 million square meters. The proportion of urban green buildings in Quanzhou City in newly built civil buildings will increase from 8.6% in 2016 to 80.85% in 2020. In the first half of this year, 134 civil green building projects were completed, with a construction area of 7.67 million square meters; among them, newly-built green buildings accounted for 91.62% of civil buildings, exceeding the annual target tasks.

According to Du Zhimou, director of the Building Materials Center of Quanzhou Industry and Information Technology Bureau, in order to promote the application of green building materials, the municipal industry and information department actively publicizes policies and regulations, releases work trends, and holds publicity and implementation meetings, exchange meetings, and forums in the media. Joint green building research associations, design, decoration and other industry associations to the front line of production companies to promote the importance and development trend of green building materials, visit and understand the production process of green building materials, and convey the green concept from the source of design and use. At the same time, the Quanzhou Building Materials China Tour is held every year to promote Quanzhou's high-end products and display leading enterprises, so as to realize the establishment of the government, the performance of enterprises, and the promotion of the industry.

It is reported that the "Fujian Province Green Building Development Regulations" will come into effect on New Year's Day next year.
