Linyi City, Shandong Province Prefabricated Steel Structure School Construction Observation and Exchange Meeting Held

On July 23, Linyi City Prefabricated Steel Structure School Construction Observation and Exchange Meeting was held in Hedong District. Chen Hengliang, deputy director of the Energy Conservation Technology Division of the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Zhang Jimin, member and deputy director of the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, and Liu Fashun, deputy secretary of the Municipal Education Working Committee, member of the Municipal Education Bureau, and deputy director, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Li Xiu, deputy head of Hedong District, and Liu Zhe, deputy secretary-general of Shandong Steel Structure Industry Association attended the meeting.

The purpose of this observation and exchange meeting was to implement the relevant deployment requirements of superiors, practice the concept of green development, and summarize and exchange innovative practical experience in the construction of prefabricated steel structure schools. Give full play to the role of demonstration and better promote the overall and orderly development of the construction of Linyi City's prefabricated steel structure school. The meeting includes on-site observation and organization of exchange meetings.

During the on-site observation session, participants visited the construction site of Junbu Street Primary School in Hedong District, the first prefabricated steel structure school in Linyi City, Tianyuan Prefabricated Steel Structure Industrial Base, and Linyi Jiuxiaonan Campus Prefabricated Steel Structure School. He has given unanimous affirmation and high praise to Hedong District's active promotion and application of new construction methods in the construction of new schools.

During the exchange session, the Hedong District Education and Sports Bureau exchanged speeches on the experience, practices and effectiveness of the popularization and application of prefabricated steel structure buildings in school construction. In his speech, Chen Hengliang fully affirmed Linyi's achievements in promoting the construction of prefabricated steel structure schools, and played a very good exemplary and leading role in the province. At the same time, he pointed out that it is necessary to further unify thinking, gather strength, overcome difficulties, strengthen various measures to guarantee, solidly promote the construction of steel structure school buildings, and contribute more experience and practices to the province. Subsequently, Tianyuan No. 2 Steel Structure Engineering Company exchanged technological innovation achievements around the prefabricated steel structure school building system.

The meeting pointed out that the safety of school buildings is directly related to the lives of teachers and students and the vital interests of the people. Since 2018, Linyi City has taken the lead in promoting the application of prefabricated steel structure buildings in the construction of schools and other public building projects. After years of exploration and practice, we have accumulated some valuable experience in the technical system, industrial foundation, workforce, project management mode, etc., and achieved remarkable results. The technical system has gradually matured, the industrial foundation has become more stable, and a new management model has gradually formed. At the same time, it is emphasized that it is necessary to fully understand the importance of promoting the construction of prefabricated steel structure schools. Its significance lies not only in the development of prefabricated buildings, but more importantly, it can improve the construction quality of school construction projects, shorten the construction period, and promote the reduction of construction costs as the scale of promotion and application expands.

The meeting requested that we must pay close attention to the implementation of work, earnestly learn from the relevant experience and practices of Hedong District, and further grasp the summary and promotion of experience. It is necessary to improve the political position and implement it, and implement the higher-level deployment requirements into the construction plan, project report, construction implementation plan and task book. It is necessary to work closely with each other to ensure implementation and provide a strong guarantee for school construction; to strengthen publicity, guidance and implementation, and to enhance the society’s awareness of the seismic safety and environmental protection of steel structures.
