In five years, the area of star-rated green buildings in Guizhou Province has increased by 6.6 times

On July 12, the reporter learned from the 2021 Ecological Civilization Guiyang International Forum "Urban and Rural Construction Green and Low-Carbon Development" theme forum, during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, a total of 415 projects in Guizhou Province have obtained star-level green building label certification. The area of star-rated green buildings that passed the label certification has increased from 10,231,900 square meters at the end of the "12th Five-Year Plan" period to 67,668,100 square meters, a 6.6 times increase in five years.

It is reported that during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, Guizhou Province completed the certification of 39 green ecological communities, and the certification area of the provincial green ecological community was 60,193,300 square meters. The certification of three provincial-level green ecological urban areas was completed, and the area of certification for provincial-level green ecological urban areas was 23,508,600 square meters.

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Guizhou Province began to implement a green building review mechanism for construction drawings. As of December 2020, a total of 1,236 green building projects have passed the design review, with a construction area of 45,215,300 square meters.

In addition, in accordance with the work deployment of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has continued to expand the scale of renewable energy building applications, forming a regionally concentrated and contiguous promotion. Data show that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Guizhou Province completed a demonstration area of 5.57 million square meters of renewable energy applications. Completed the acceptance of national-level renewable energy building application demonstration projects in Guiyang City, Xixiu District, Weining County, and Yaxi Town and county-level demonstration projects in rural areas, and completed the acceptance of 12 provincial-level renewable energy building application demonstration projects.

As an important form of green building, prefabricated buildings in Guizhou Province have shown a rapid development trend in recent years. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, there were 32 prefabricated building component manufacturers and 80 production lines in Guizhou Province. The designed production capacity of prefabricated concrete components is 4.75 million square meters, the designed production capacity of prefabricated steel structure components is 1.994 million tons, and the designed production capacity of prefabricated wooden structure components is 3.01 million square meters. 7 national prefabricated demonstration industrial bases have been cultivated (Guizhou Jianhe Yuanfang Forestry Investment and Development Co., Ltd., Guizhou Green Building Construction Housing Industrialization Development Co., Ltd., Guizhou Xinggui Hengyuan New Building Materials Co., Ltd., Guiyang Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd. Guizhou Anshun Jiayu New Material Co., Ltd., Guizhou Huitong Shenfa Steel Structure Co., Ltd., Guizhou Daxinghong Building Material Co., Ltd.). The total completed area of prefabricated buildings in the province is 5.0312 million square meters, accounting for 15.64% of newly built buildings.

The relevant person in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guizhou Province introduced that in the next step, Guizhou Province will take measures to establish a multi-departmental joint prefabricated building coordination mechanism, vigorously promote general contracting of projects, promote the development of finished housing, promote the use of standardized atlases in affordable housing, and increase technical training for prefabricated building practitioners. Efforts will be made to improve the overall level of the development of prefabricated buildings in Guizhou Province, and promote emission reduction and carbon reduction in the construction sector.
