On June 30, as the first prefabricated highway bridge project in Jiangsu Province, the main line viaduct of the Nanjing 312 National Road Reconstruction and Expansion Project was officially opened to traffic. It is reported that the project has been rated as a green demonstration site in Jiangsu Province.


The reporter learned from the engineering contractor Zhongjian Installation that the project is not only full of "black technology", but the project acceptance standard experience will also be replicated throughout the province to form a complete set of "prefabricated bridge construction guidelines" to help upgrade Jiangsu's highway traffic.


Xie Qi, the commander-in-chief of the Nanjing 312 Reconstruction and Expansion Project of China Construction Installation, introduced that as the domestic prefabricated highway bridge project with the widest bridge width and the heaviest capped beam section tonnage, this project adopts the prefabricated technology that bridge components above the ground are prefabricated in a prefabricated base and transported to the site to be assembled into a bridge.


"Assembled bridge construction is generally called the process of'making building blocks' and'building blocks', which is not only green and energy-saving, but also safe and efficient." Xie Qi told reporters that China State Construction has built a large-scale modern bridge component manufacturing base, and the 2,755 bridge components required for the project are all manufactured in batches from here. This construction method only took 15 months to complete the construction task that originally took 2 years to complete. The labor input was reduced by half. At the same time, more space above and below the bridge was released, and the traffic under the bridge could maintain normal traffic, and noise pollution was reduced. 


"Each bridge component here has a traceable 'identity card' buried before it leaves the factory." Project manager Yang Yuji introduced that all the production cycles and inspection processes of the component can be traced only by scanning with the radio frequency receiving equipment, which is convenient for the long-term maintenance of the bridge after operation.


Entering the prefabricated base of intelligent bridge components installed by China State Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., all kinds of large-scale intelligent equipment are operating quickly. On the box girder prefabrication production line, two steel rails extend from the prefabrication plant to the box girder storage yard. The fully automated hydraulic sliding steel formwork automatically completes the overall demoulding through the vertical and horizontal hydraulic systems. Then move to the next box girder production pedestal along the steel rail, without the need for manual and large gantry cranes to assist in disassembly and assembly.


"The method of building bridges with'building blocks' has millimeter-level requirements for component production and assembly accuracy." Xie Xiangyu, chief engineer of the project, introduced.


It is understood that the project team started from the "source" and established a set of standard and standardized assembly lines in the prefabricated base. It provides a complete set of "model books" for the prefabrication of components such as steel bar blanking processing, mold closing pouring, mold removal and health preservation.


During the on-site assembly stage, the project team has almost perfect and strict requirements for the assembly of each component. After the simulation assembly confirms that there is no deviation, the components will be assembled on-site. The assembly accuracy is strictly controlled within 2 mm, and the stitches are tight.


The reporter learned that during the construction process, the project team independently innovated technology, made breakthroughs in a number of prefabricated bridge construction technologies, and pioneered research and development.


During the construction process, the project team has accumulated a lot of technical experience through uniting universities and enterprises, and focused on promoting the subject research, and has produced a number of outstanding scientific research results, patents, papers and research reports.


"The project team also participated in the preparation of acceptance standards related to prefabricated bridge construction in the province, and plans to replicate the project acceptance standard experience to all parts of the province to form a complete set of ‘prefabricated bridge construction guidelines.” Xie Xiangyu introduced.
