Accommodate over 8,000 people! Guangzhou's first prefabricated affordable housing project was successfully delivered

On June 28, the second bid section of the Shifeng Road Affordable Housing Project for Zhujiang Lease-Shifeng Garden was completed and delivered. The project is located in Shijing Avenue, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, with a construction area of 289,000 square meters. All 3,450 houses are public rental housing, which can solve the housing problem of over 8,000 people.



The Shifeng Road affordable housing project was successfully completed and delivered as the first affordable housing project using prefabricated buildings in Guangzhou. The completed and delivered this batch is the second part of the bid section, with a total of 1519 housing units. Shifeng Garden is adjacent to Baiyun Lake and has convenient transportation. It is less than 1 km away from Guangzhou Metro Line 8. The surrounding public buildings are fully equipped, including meat and vegetable markets, shops, health stations, community neighborhood committees and other living facilities.



The relevant person in charge of the Zhujiang Leasing Company said that in the future, the overall quality of the community will be further improved, the party and mass service center will be established, and the three functional areas of the indoor party building hall, community service office and administrative office meeting room will be set up to provide party organizations, party members, and the masses with “one-stop services” for party affairs, government affairs, and convenience for the people. 


The Shifeng Garden security housing has a variety of room types, with construction areas ranging from 30 square meters to 60 square meters, all of which are prefabricated buildings. Relying on the support of the entire industrial chain of Zhushi Group, the whole construction process of the project is simulated by BIM technology, and new techniques and new technologies such as intelligent aluminum mold assembly, integrated attached lifting scaffolding, and lightweight partition walls without plastering are actively explored.


In the end, the project achieves a full professional collaborative design of prefabricated architecture, structure, electromechanical, and decoration. It has realized the standardized design of prefabricated buildings, factory production, assembly construction, integrated decoration, and information management, which not only ensures the quality of construction, but also greatly shortens the construction period.



At the same time, the project also adopts new technological processes, including reflective thermal insulation exterior wall coatings, full concrete plaster-free exterior walls, prefabricated concrete interior partition walls plaster-free, autoclaved aerated concrete insulation panels for internal insulation, caisson-free toilets and exposed water pipes, etc., effectively improving the quality of the project and facilitate subsequent maintenance.


It is understood that the remaining uncompleted section 1 is scheduled to be completed in October this year.
