The first prefabricated box girder of Weifang Baotong Street Expressway Project was successfully erected

Baotong Street Expressway, as the first elevated expressway in Weifang's central urban area, is of great significance to improving the city's functional quality and enhancing the ability of central urban areas to drive radiation. At 9 o'clock in the morning on June 18, the first piece of prefabricated box girder on Baotong Street Expressway began to be hoisted on the west side of the Chuanfangzi Branch Overpass on Baotong Street. With the on-site construction crew erecting a 28.36-meter-long, 95-ton prefabricated box girder on the 31st span, the first box girder of the Baotong Street Expressway Project was successfully erected, which means that the construction of Baotong Street Expressway has officially entered the superstructure construction stage.

The viaduct part of Baotong Street Expressway includes several important parts such as pile foundation, cap, pier column, cap beam, prefabricated box girder, and bridge deck structure. Several other links are all on-site construction, while the prefabricated box girder is made in advance in the beam yard, and then hoisted on the cover beam, so that the simultaneous construction of multiple processes can be ensured, and the construction time can be shortened. According to the inverted construction period plan, the box girder erection time is June 27. The command headquarters scientifically organized and actively promoted, fully grasping the construction period, and advanced the erection time by ten days, laying a solid foundation for the completion of high-quality project construction. The Baotong Street Expressway has a total of 1,618 pile foundations, 700 piers, 441 pile caps, and 2,425 prefabricated box beams. At present, the project has entered the rapid construction stage. The pile foundation has been 90% completed, the prefabricated box girder has been 15% completed, the pier column has been completed 25%, and the cap has been completed 38%. In the near future, each bidding section will successively start the precast box girder hoisting construction. During the construction period, multiple large-scale hoisting machinery will be operated at the same time. In order to ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, the site headquarters and the traffic police department have carried out a fully enclosed construction on some road sections. The closed time is from June 17, 2021 to January 31, 2022. The general public is requested to plan travel routes in advance and pay attention to the traffic safety.

In the next step, the project construction headquarters will continue to work steadily, strengthen communication and coordination, and make overall arrangements. While grasping the quality and progress of the project, it will make greater efforts to ensure safe production and strengthen environmental protection measures.
