Baoding, Hebei: New passive ultra-low energy consumption buildings of 200,000 square meters in 2021

On June 8, it was learned from Baoding City’s passive ultra-low energy building industry development summit that the city’s passive ultra-low energy building construction scale ranks second in Hebei Province. Baoding City will start construction of 200,000 square meters of such buildings in 2021.

It is understood that this forum is hosted by the Baoding Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, with the theme of "Reduce Building Carbon Emissions and Strengthen the Promotion of the Healthy Development of the Passive Ultra-Low Energy Building Industry". Through online and offline simultaneous participation, experts and scholars in related fields such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland and China Construction Research Institute, Hebei Construction Research Institute, Orion Shunda Group and domestic universities were invited to conduct special technical exchanges. “The development situation of passive ultra-low energy consumption buildings in Baoding is good. The construction scale ranks second in the province, with a construction area of 1.06 million square meters. It will make due contributions to Baoding's building of a city of quality life and achieving the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in advance.” Yang Tao, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Baoding Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, introduced that in recent years, the city's passive ultra-low energy consumption building industry has developed from nothing, from weak to strong, from single to diversified, forming a self-contained and unique development model. With the successive implementation of various supporting policies, the passive ultra-low energy consumption building industry in Baoding City will usher in a new development period of deeper and broader space.

It is reported that in order to promote the development of passive ultra-low energy consumption building industry in Baoding City and effectively promote the implementation of related industrial projects, since 2020, the Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau has successively promulgated more than 10 policy documents including the Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Development of Green Buildings. A number of preferential policies have been tailored in terms of land use support and filing prices.
