Since the start of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region has adhered to Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization thought as a guide, firmly established the concept of green development, and conscientiously implement the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Civil Building Energy Conservation and Green Building Development Regulations" and the relevant requirements for "dual control" of energy consumption in the field of housing urban and rural construction. Focus on the implementation of the region's green building development action plan, and deeply promote the high-quality development of green buildings in the autonomous region.


In the first quarter of 2021, there were 385 green building projects in the district that passed the review of construction drawings, covering 5,439,500 square meters, an increase of 17% year-on-year; 3 projects with green building evaluation marks covering 367,900 square meters. Among them, the green building area that passed the construction drawing review in Hohhot exceeded 1.5 million square meters, ranking first in the district; the green building area that passed the construction drawing review in Chifeng, Ordos and Baotou all exceeded 500,000 square meters. Hulunbuir City, Xilin Gol League, Ulanchabu City, Ordos City, Bayannaoer City, Wuhai City and Manzhouli City have passed the construction drawing review and the green building area has increased compared with the same period last year.


In the next step, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region will continue to coordinate the promotion of green building development, supervise and urge local governments to improve policies and measures, improve the green building supervision mechanism, implement incentive policies, and continue to promote the large-scale development of green buildings in the autonomous region to ensure that urban green buildings account for 55% of new buildings in 2021.
