The Xiamen project in Fujian Province won the National Green Building Innovation Award

Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development released the list of winners of the 2020 National Green Building Innovation Awards. Xiamen AVIC Zijin Plaza A and B office tower project stood out from the 133 participating projects nationwide, and won the second prize of the 2020 National Green Building Innovation Award. This is the only award-winning project in Fujian Province this time, and it has been awarded the Xiamen City Green Building Award. The winning of this award adds another beautiful new business card for the development of green buildings in Xiamen City.

The Green Building Innovation Award was established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and is the highest award in the field of green building in my country. The Green Building Innovation Award is divided into project awards in the engineering category and technical product category. There are three levels of first prize, second prize and third prize, which are selected every two years.

So, what is the "excellence" of the A and B office towers of AVIC Zijin Plaza in Xiamen? According to the Xiamen Municipal Construction Bureau, the project implements envelope energy saving, and the building energy saving rates of A and B office towers have reached 53.27% and 53.10% respectively. In addition, the steel pipe concrete column-steel beam structure system adopted in the main body of the A and B office towers. Compared with the steel-reinforced concrete column-concrete beam structure system, the amount of concrete is saved by about 3400 cubic meters, the amount of steel bars is reduced by about 2890 tons, and the amount of steel is increased by about 4130 tons. It can effectively reduce the amount of concrete, reduce the intake of sand, gravel and water resources, and increase the amount of recyclable materials, which is conducive to later construction and recycling.

The project also actively responds to the concept of "sponge city", setting up green roofs in hotel podiums, centralized commercial podiums, and the roofs of saleable commercial streets, with a green area ratio of 50.85%. In this way, the heat island effect can be better reduced, the roof rainwater runoff can be reduced, and the environment can be more suitable, beautiful and practical. In the implementation of air-conditioning system energy conservation and reasonable water conservation, the project's approach is also remarkable.

Vigorously developing green buildings is one of the important measures to achieve the goal of carbon reduction in the construction sector. In recent years, Xiamen City has vigorously promoted the creation of green buildings, not only promoting energy-saving renovation of existing buildings, but also increasing the proportion of assembly-based construction methods and actively developing green building materials. A few days ago, the Xiamen Municipal Construction Bureau, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission and other five departments jointly issued the "Xiamen City Green Building Creation Action Implementation Plan", which pointed out that by 2022, the green building area of newly built civil buildings in cities and towns will account for more than 75%.
