2020 《Fortune》 Global 500 announced! 9 Chinese construction companies on the list!

On August 10, the 2020 Fortune Global 500 list was announced. This year, the number of Chinese companies reached 133, surpassing the United States (121) for the first time in history. This year, there are nine engineering and construction companies in China on the list, one more than last year.

Among the Chinese construction companies on the list this time, China State Construction Group Co., Ltd. ranks 18th in the world's top 500 with an annual revenue of approximately $205.8 billion, and the top ranking has reached a new height. In addition, Shanghai Construction Group is the only local state-owned enterprise in the construction industry, and it is on the list for the first time, ranking 423.

The threshold for the top 500 finalists is raised again

The operating income of the Fortune Global 500 companies this year reached  $33 trillion, which set a record high, close to the combined GDP of China and the United States. The threshold to enter the rankings has also increased from $24.8 billion to $25.4 billion, which is approximately RMB 175.3 billion (approximately RMB 170 billion in 2019).
