Recently, the modular prefabricated platform door jointly developed by Guangzhou Metro Group Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Metro Design Institute, and Guangzhou Xinke Jiadu Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiadu Technology, was successfully delivered at Shaxi Station on Guangzhou Rail Transit Line 18. , Becoming my country's first modular assembly platform door for landing applications.

It is reported that the traditional platform door installation mode is to assemble and debug parts on site, and then conduct a running-in test. Due to the large number of processes and poor quality stability, the installation efficiency is low, the labor cost is high, the management is difficult, and the material storage is messy, the industrial waste is large, and the safety hazard is high. At the same time, the installation of traditional platform doors is subject to professional influences and restrictions such as track, civil engineering, and decoration. The construction period is often tight, the installation conditions are poor, and there are many cross-operations, which lead to many problems such as poor post-operation reliability of the platform doors and high operation and maintenance costs.

In order to solve the above difficulties and pain points, in March 2020, Guangzhou Metro Group Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Metro Design Institute will cooperate with Jiadu Technology to develop modular platform doors. The team has overcome many design difficulties in just 9 months, including modular composition, transportation tooling, and installation tooling. Through three-dimensional modeling, mechanical finite element analysis, repeated inspection, modification and verification, from scratch, finally achieved a breakthrough in the traditional platform door installation mode. The modular prototype was successfully shipped from the factory on December 25, 2020 and passed various inspections.

Modular prefabricated platform doors use the integral door unit as a module. The components are assembled, debugged, and tested in the factory. After they are transported to the site, they can be quickly installed and spliced by means of "building blocks". It takes only 15 minutes to complete the installation of a single platform door module unit, which shortens the installation period by up to 75% compared with the traditional installation method. It greatly improves on-site installation and commissioning efficiency, process quality, and reduces labor costs, reduces on-site material stacking, avoids cross operations, and improves on-site safe and civilized construction management.

In April this year, modular prefabricated platform doors were successfully assembled at Shaxi Station on Guangzhou Rail Transit Line 18. Starting from April 5th, the modular platform doors will be transported to the track laying base by factory trucks, and transported to the platform by the base gantry cranes and rail engineering vehicles, and then the staff will install the tooling. It took only three days and was successfully installed on April 8, marking the first application of modular prefabricated platform doors in the domestic rail transit field.

With the continuous penetration and in-depth development of prefabricated technology in the field of construction, the technology is becoming more and more mature. The use of modular prefabricated implementation schemes for subway stations is an important development trend in the design and construction of subway stations in the future.
