The first prefabricated construction vocational skills competition held in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province

From April 28th to 29th, the first prefabricated construction professional skills competition in Qinhuangdao City was held. More than 150 players from 30 teams competed on the same field. In the end, 18 players and 20 companies won the prizes. This competition fully implements the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, aims to promote the "craftsman spirit", promote the construction of Qinhuangdao's industry talent team, and provide strong support for accelerating the training of high-skilled talents in the prefabricated construction industry and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.

The competition is divided into three projects: production of prefabricated components, installation, and sleeve grouting. The preliminaries of the competition were held in Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Building Materials on April 28. After theoretical knowledge and simulated practical competition, a total of 19 teams entered the finals. On the morning of April 29, at Qinhuangdao Hexin Jiye Construction Technology Co., Ltd., the competition ushered in an exciting final moment. The atmosphere was tense and warm, and the players were attentive and cooperative. Although the contestants encountered various problems and difficulties in the production process, after constant attempts and rich experience, everyone finally completed the task within the specified time.

After two days of fierce competition, Han Li, Tong Qiang and Wang Wanqiang won the first prizes of three individual projects. Qinhuangdao Hexin Foundation Construction Technology Co., Ltd., Qinhuangdao Development Zone Thermal Engineering Installation Co., Ltd., and Hexin Construction Co., Ltd. won the first prize of the three projects. In this competition, the individual winners of the first, second and third prizes will be awarded RMB 5,000, RMB 3,000 and RMB 2,000 respectively. The contestant with the first individual performance is recommended by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions to declare the title of "Qinhuangdao City Gold Medal Worker, Skilled Craftsman", and the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau awarded the title of "Qinhuangdao Technical Expert".

The competition was sponsored by the Qinhuangdao Municipal Government, undertaken by the Municipal Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Building Materials, and co-organized by Municipal Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. Xu Xianmin, deputy secretary of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Feng Zhiyong, deputy mayor of the municipal government, and Sun Lijun, vice chairman of the CPPCC attended the opening ceremony. More than 500 people from relevant departments, enterprises and institutions, representatives of the housing construction system in the province and the news media watched this skill contest. According to the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Development, at present, Qinhuangdao City has basically formed a new pattern for the development of the entire industrial chain model of prefabricated buildings, with 9 prefabricated building industry bases. Among them, there are 2 national-level industrial bases and 3 provincial-level industrial bases, with an annual output of 748,000 cubic meters of PC components and 110,000 tons of steel components. The production capacity of assembled fitting parts meets the development needs of the city's prefabricated buildings. There are more than 3 million square meters of prefabricated buildings under construction, which can drive the construction industry and related building materials to over 30 billion yuan in output value.
