Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province Sets Development Goals for Prefabricated Buildings This Year

On April 26, the reporter learned from the Qinhuangdao Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Development that the Office of the Leading Group for the Modernization of the Construction Industry of Qinhuangdao City issued the "Development Goals for Prefabricated Buildings in the City in 2021" (hereinafter referred to as "Development Goals").

In accordance with the requirements of the "Development Goals", new affordable housing projects (including price-limited houses) and government-invested or government-invested projects in the city's administrative area should be planned and constructed in accordance with the prefabricated building standards. Social investment and construction, government repurchase of independent housing projects should be constructed in a prefabricated way.

New public buildings with a single above-ground building area of 5000 square meters or more in the administrative area of the city should be constructed in a prefabricated way (more than 3000 square meters in Lulong County). All commercial development residential construction projects in the administrative area of the city shall be equipped with prefabricated buildings (above ground floor area) not less than the following proportions: More than 45% in Qinhuangdao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Beidaihe New District and Haigang District, more than 40% in Shanhaiguan District, Beidaihe District, Funing District, more than 30% in Lulong County, and more than 25% in Changli County and Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County. The proportion of newly built prefabricated buildings in the city adopting assembly decoration technology has reached more than 20%.

In principle, the industrial plants and storage facilities in the administrative areas of the city adopt steel structures. Strive to create a national prefabricated construction industry base.

In order to complete the "Development Goals", Qinhuangdao City will fully implement the "Several Policies and Measures on Vigorously Promoting Prefabricated Buildings" issued by the municipal government this year, and solidly promote the construction of a national model city. Continuously improve the industrialization, informatization, and intelligence level of industrial bases, promote the integration of prefabricated building design, production and construction, strengthen the effective connection of design, production, and construction, and improve the standardization level of prefabricated building components.

In recent years, Qinhuangdao City has closely followed the pace of national strategy and promoted the development of green buildings into the fast lane. Last year, Qinhuangdao City was successfully approved as the second batch of national prefabricated construction model cities. As of the end of last year, there were 117 prefabricated construction projects in the city, with a total construction area of 2,827,500 square meters. In the first quarter of this year, 27 new prefabricated buildings were built in the city, with a prefabricated floor area of 514,300 square meters. The ratio of newly built prefabricated buildings in cities and towns was 35.21%. The city has built 9 prefabricated construction industry bases, with an annual output of 700,000 cubic meters of precast concrete components and 110,000 tons of steel components. The city is forming a new pattern of development of the prefabricated building industry chain model.
