The reporter learned at the press conference that 61 buildings including Beijing Daxing International Airport, Shanghai Tower, and Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City No. 1 Primary School won the "2020 National Green Building Innovation Award." Covering major building types such as residential buildings, offices, hospitals, schools, commercial complexes, exhibition halls, and airports, as well as new buildings and existing building renovation projects.

Tian Guomin, Director of the Standards and Rating Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that launching the National Green Building Innovation Awards will help encourage green building technology and management innovation, and promote the refined design and high-level operation of green buildings. It is also conducive to improving the level of energy resource conservation in green buildings, and provides a strong guarantee for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutral goals in the construction sector.

He introduced that my country will promote green building legislation, guide Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Ningxia, Hebei, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Guangdong and other 7 provinces (regions) to issue local green building regulations, and promote Shandong, Jiangxi, Qinghai and other provinces to issue green building government regulations.
