Shanxi Province will have more prefabricated buildings this year

On April 5, Shanxi Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development reported that starting this year, Shanxi Province will accelerate the pace of development of prefabricated buildings, timely follow up service guidance for projects that meet the implementation conditions of prefabricated buildings, strictly implement the monthly report system for prefabricated buildings, and strengthen dynamic management. In 2020, 8,225,200 square meters of prefabricated buildings will be newly started in the province, accounting for 18.7% of the newly built building area in cities and towns. Among them, Taiyuan City newly started prefabricated buildings of 3,306,700 square meters, accounting for 25.48% of the urban area of newly built buildings. A notice was issued to clarify the scope of implementation of prefabricated buildings and the scoring standards for prefabricated buildings, and detailed the responsibilities and requirements of all parties involved in the construction, which strongly promoted the development of prefabricated buildings in Taiyuan, and played the role of demonstration and leading role in key promotion cities.

In addition, the Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Zone has also introduced supportive measures such as preferential land use protection, pre-sale permits for commercial housing, and project awards and subsidies.

At the same time, the province's prefabricated construction industry bases have been put into operation in an orderly manner to promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry. Up to now, the province has accumulatively identified 21 prefabricated construction industry bases in three batches, including 9 parts and components, 8 construction and 4 design. The industrial bases can combine their professional advantages to carry out their business, greatly improving the design, production, and construction level of prefabricated buildings in Shanxi Province, and cultivate a group of professional teams.

Up to now, the province has accumulatively identified three batches of 8 prefabricated building demonstration projects, including 2 concrete structures, 5 steel structures, and 1 integrated pipe gallery. Starting this year, Shanxi Province will speed up the implementation of prefabricated construction projects in accordance with the requirements of the annual targets and tasks, while encouraging the cultivation of high-quality prefabricated residential projects.
