Hunan Province will complete the prefabricated project output value of 24.446 billion yuan in 2020, an increase of 100.0%

The reporter learned from the Hunan Provincial Statistics Bureau on February 1 that in 2020, construction enterprises in the province (general contracting and professional contracting enterprises above the qualification level, the same below) will seize the effective construction period, and the development of the construction industry will continue to improve. The growth rate of the total output value of the construction industry increased steadily. The total output value of the whole year was 1,186.377 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, and the growth rate was 1.9 percentage points higher than the third quarter.

Survey statistics show that the output value of prefabricated construction projects has increased rapidly. In 2020, the output value of prefabricated projects completed by construction enterprises in the province was 24.446 billion yuan, an increase of 100.0% and an increase of 25.4%. The output value of decoration was 40.635 billion yuan, an increase of 1.9%, an increase of 3.6%.

The amount of newly signed contracts increased rapidly. In 2020, the value of new contracts signed by construction enterprises in the province was 1379.116 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6% and an increase of 6.4%. The contract value carried forward from the previous year was 1,147.636 billion yuan, down 5.0%, and the rate of decline narrowed by 2.1 percentage points. The value of contracts signed throughout the year was 2,526.752 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4% and an increase of 5.4%.

The construction area and completed output value of housing construction have steadily rebounded. The province’s housing construction area was 679.7877 million square meters, an increase of 4.2%, an increase of 4.0 percentage points; of which, the newly started area this year was 259,388,800 square meters, down 1.9%, and the rate of decline narrowed by 6.9 percentage points. The completed output value of construction enterprises in the province was 565.874 billion yuan, an increase of 2.5% and an increase of 4.5%.

The completion of the contracted project is in good condition. The province's construction enterprises directly contracted projects from construction units to complete an output value of 1,154.336 billion yuan, an increase of 9.1% and an increase of 2.2 percentage points.

The number of employment in the construction industry has gradually increased. As of the end of December 2020, the number of employees in the province's construction enterprises at the end of the period was 2.7740 million, an increase of 1.6%, an increase of 2.2 percentage points; among them, there were 95,400 engineering and technical personnel, an increase of 1.2%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points. The average number of employees engaged in construction activities in the province was 3.0303 million, an increase of 2.9%, an increase of 3.1 percentage points over the third quarter.
