Liaocheng City, Shandong Province Holds Green Building and Prefabricated Building Work Conference

On March 10, the Liaocheng Housing and Construction Bureau held a city-wide green building and prefabricated building work conference to implement the relevant decisions and deployments of the Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau, and further unify ideological understanding. Clarify goals and tasks, straighten out ideas, strengthen measures, promote the rapid development of green buildings and prefabricated buildings, and ensure the completion of annual tasks. Wang Aisheng, the second-level investigator of the Liaocheng Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau; the directors in charge of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureaus and heads of departments in charge of the counties (cities, districts) and municipal development zones, responsible comrades from relevant departments and some drawing review and design units of the Liaocheng Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau  attended the meeting.

Before the meeting, the participants collectively observed the three-star green building-Liaocheng Xinpengdu Green Island project construction and technical application site.

At the meeting, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureaus of counties (cities, districts) and municipal development zones in Liaocheng reported their work in 2020 and the work plan for 2021; Huake Design Co., Ltd. interpreted high-star green buildings. Conveyed the "Implementation Opinions on Further Promoting the Healthy Development of Green Buildings and Prefabricated Buildings" jointly issued by ten departments including the Liaocheng Housing and Construction Bureau; summarized the city's work last year and arranged the work tasks for this year.

In his speech, Wang Aisheng explained the necessity and significance of developing green buildings and prefabricated buildings, analyzed the main problems existing in the current work of the city, and put forward specific requirements.

For a long time, Chinese construction industry is an extensive and labor-intensive industry. The production process mainly relies on cast-in-place construction. This production method is not only inefficient and long in construction period, but also causes serious consumption of resources and energy, and also pollutes the environment. It has become increasingly obvious that the transformation and upgrading of the traditional construction industry has long been imminent.

In recent years, the state and Shandong Province have successively issued a series of policy standards to vigorously deepen the reform of the construction industry system and mechanism, promote the modernization of the construction industry, promote the development of building energy efficiency and green buildings, and promote smart buildings. The policy direction clarifies that green buildings, prefabricated buildings, and smart buildings to be developed in the future will all become the future development direction of the construction industry.
