Hunan Province receives 2.1 billion yuan to promote the transformation of shanty towns in old communities

The transformation of old communities in cities and towns in Hunan Province will receive a guaranteed housing project. In 2021, the first batch of central budgetary funds will be 1.63 billion yuan, and the transformation of shanty towns will receive 470 million yuan, for a total of 2.1 billion yuan. This is the news recently released by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hunan Province.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hunan Province, this year Hunan Province plans to start the renovation of 3,529 old communities in cities and towns, and 35618 sets of sheds will be converted into houses.

According to the "Notice on Issuing the First Batch of Central Budgetary Investment Plans for the Affordable Housing Projects in 2021", the investment in the central budget mainly supports the contents of drainage and waterlogging prevention facilities for projects, and overall consideration is given to supporting the elimination of waste water collection blank areas. Improve the “One City, One Policy” and “One District, One Policy” fire engine passage management plan. At the same time, all localities must earnestly implement project construction conditions, and focus on arranging projects that affect the use of the masses due to shortcomings in supporting infrastructure; for cities and counties that have many problems found in audits and supervision, and where rectification is not in place, they must reduce the investment in the central budget.
