The first tallest building of prefabricated steel structure security housing in Hebei Province unveiled in Handan City

A few days ago, as the last steel beam of the No. 9 building of the Handan Minleyuan Affordable Housing Project was hoisted in place, the main structure of the province’s tallest steel-structured social housing building with a total height of about 93 meters was completed, and the main structure is ready for secondary structural construction such as infill wall masonry.

The affordable housing project of Minleyuan is located to the west of Xunzi Street, south of Taiji Road, and north of Xiangtang Road. It is a prefabricated building demonstration project in Hebei Province. The project has a total construction area of 343,000 square meters and a planned total investment of 1.515 billion yuan. It is planned to build 12 prefabricated high-rise residential buildings and other supporting public construction service facilities. Among them, Building 8 and Building 9 are the first social housing projects constructed by steel structure assembly in Handan City.

"The construction of prefabricated houses is as convenient as 'building blocks’." Zuo Junqi, director of the engineering department of the Municipal Affordable Housing Construction Investment Co., Ltd., told reporters. In traditional construction, building materials such as steel bars and concrete are poured on site, often with dusty, harsh noise, and cross-flow of mud and water. For prefabricated buildings, steel beams, steel columns and other building components are first prefabricated and processed in the factory, and then transported to the site to be assembled. The two-story building can be built in two days as soon as possible. Not only the construction speed is fast, the labor is small, but also the energy saving and environmental protection, the seismic performance is good, and the site is tidy and orderly.

In order to guarantee the housing needs of low- and middle-income families and increase the supply of affordable rental housing, the Municipal Housing Security and Real Estate Administration have made arrangements in advance for a full resumption of work and production on the premise of preventing and controlling the epidemic. The construction of the project was started on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, and we will spare no effort to speed up the construction of the project to ensure that it is delivered and put into use as scheduled at the end of the year, so that more needy families can realize their "dream of living in peace" as soon as possible.
