Xining City will complete the pilot construction of "No Waste City" this year

The reporter learned from the two sessions of Xining City that this year, Xining City will complete the pilot construction of a "waste-free city" through measures such as updating public transportation, new energy vehicles in the logistics industry, and implementing high-star green buildings.

In Xining, hot words such as "Plateau Green" and "Blue Xining" have become representatives of ecological civilization construction. Both citizens and tourists from other places praise Xining's blue sky, white clouds and green parks. As the first provincial capital city in the country to be selected as the "No-Waste City" pilot, Xining City has deeply integrated the "No-Waste City" construction pilot and a model city for green development. Combining the six major actions of "Xining blue, plateau green, rivers and lakes" and other six major actions, actively build an ecological and environmental protection modern industrial system, comprehensively promote industrial transformation and upgrading, improve quality and efficiency, and promote green economic and social development.

Currently, green buildings in Xining account for 60.5% of newly built buildings. Automobile exhaust gas treatment and winter heating and clean energy transformation are in the forefront of the country. Domestic waste classification and air quality are in the forefront of Northwest China. This year, Xining City will accelerate the construction of projects such as household waste incineration power generation, restaurant kitchen waste plant relocation, and construction waste resource utilization. Through compulsory implementation of the "dry and wet separation" waste classification pilot, complete the "no waste city" pilot, promote the renewal of new energy vehicles in the public transportation and logistics industry, and promote high-star green buildings.

Xining City will also explore the path and mode of co-processing wastewater, exhaust gas and solid waste, and improve the construction of technical systems for the treatment of different types of solid waste such as hazardous waste, domestic waste, municipal sludge, agricultural waste, and construction waste.
