The reporter learned from Hangzhou Airport that at the end of January, the new terminal (T4) of Hangzhou Airport, which was still under construction, received a three-star green building design evaluation mark after review and publicity. This is the second time that the Hangzhou Airport Terminal has received this evaluation mark. As early as 2013, the second-stage domestic terminal project of the airport's second phase project-T3 terminal was awarded a three-star green building design logo, becoming the first green terminal in China.

It is understood that green buildings refer to high-quality buildings that save resources, protect the environment, reduce pollution, provide people with healthy, applicable and efficient use of space, and maximize the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

The construction of the new terminal building and landside transportation center of the Hangzhou Airport Phase III project started in 2018 and is expected to be put into operation in 2022. At present, the main construction of the T4 terminal has more than half of the progress, the main building has entered the large ceiling construction, and the partial area of the passenger overnight room (hotel) on the south side of the transportation center has been constructed to 4 floors above the ground.

“The T4 terminal building is a central and centralized configuration with a plan layout, with the concept of "energy-saving and efficient green design, healthy and comfortable quality building, and passive design that fits the environment". It is constructed in two parts: the ground and the underground. Above 17.4 meters, a steel structure system with low resource consumption and low environmental impact is adopted, and green is integrated into the project planning and construction process to achieve highly economical and intensive use of land resources.” According to the airport, in terms of building structure and interior design, the T4 terminal will fully integrate building functions, reflecting regional characteristics and reducing building energy consumption.

In terms of style design, the new terminal building extracts the image of the West Lake lotus flower "connecting the sky lotus leaf, the water hibiscus", and combines the image creation with the optimization of the architectural structure design, space lighting, ventilation and other performance. For example, the lotus column in the terminal building is equipped with skylights and the lotus valley atrium. Through the opening of windows and the optimization of sunshade in the lotus valley, good internal ventilation and lighting environment are realized. Horizontal sun visors are installed outside the waiting corridor of the terminal building, and a smaller-scale sun visor grille is arranged between the boards to effectively reduce the influence of solar radiation. Eventually improve the lighting in more than 50% of the main building and reduce the building load by more than 10%.

In addition, the efficient use of space in the T4 terminal is also reflected in the convenience of integrated transportation. There are subway lines and airport rail express lines within 100 meters of the terminal building, with convenient transportation and convenient transfer. At present, the extension of Metro Line 1 and Line 7 connecting the airport and the main urban area have been opened to traffic at the end of last year, and the rail express line is planned to be completed in 2022. The sunken airport high-speed railway station under construction will introduce multiple railway lines to build a rail transit circle from the airport to the main city of Hangzhou in 45 minutes, to the Hangzhou metropolitan area in 1 hour, and to major cities in the Yangtze River Delta region in two to three hours. Before the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games is held, it will be a large-scale comprehensive transportation hub with the most convenient transfers in the country-the transfer time for all modes of transportation will be within 5 minutes.
