The development of prefabricated buildings in Yongchuan District, Chongqing City is gratifying!

On January 29, the construction industry modernization work area meeting was held in Yongchuan District, with the participation of relevant persons in charge of the construction departments of the main city and new districts such as Yongchuan, Jiangjin and Hechuan. Through on-site observations, discussions and exchanges, the achievements in the development of prefabricated buildings in Yongchuan District were unanimously affirmed.

Yongchuan Vanke City is the first project in Yongchuan District that specifies the implementation requirements of prefabricated buildings in the land transfer. The building area is more than 600,000 square meters, and the average prefabricated building is 57%. “After the laminated slabs and stairs are prefabricated in the factory, they are hoisted at the construction site of the project. After the installation is completed, the steel bars are tied up, and then the concrete is poured.” According to Tang Junlai, the project engineer of Yongchuan Vanke City, the use of prefabricated buildings can increase construction efficiency by about 30%. At the same time, the construction quality is improved, the pollution on the construction site is reduced, and the construction waste is less.

It is reported that up to now, Yongchuan District has gathered nearly 20 prefabricated construction related enterprises, with a designed annual production capacity of 5 billion and an annual output value of 2 billion. A number of key prefabricated construction projects such as the China Communications WorldCom Building, the New District Gymnasium, and the Vanke City project have started construction. The first new district gymnasium with prefabricated stands has been completed and put into use. In 2021, Yongchuan District will also accelerate the construction of a number of government-invested prefabricated construction projects such as Hongqi Primary School, Beiqiao Primary School, and Wenchang Middle School. Through project demonstration, vigorously promote the development of prefabricated buildings.

The relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee stated that the development of prefabricated buildings is an important measure to promote the modernization of the construction industry. In 2020, the proportion of prefabricated buildings in Chongqing will increase to 15%. Starting from 2021, prefabricated buildings in the central city area will account for no less than 30% of the newly started construction area, and the main city new area will not be less than 15%. The development of prefabricated buildings in Yongchuan is progressing in an orderly manner, and the application proportion is steadily increasing. The next step is to continue to expand the scope of implementation of prefabricated buildings, promote the modernization of the construction industry, and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.
