Chongqing takes standardized design, factory production, assembly construction, integrated decoration, information management, and intelligent application "six modernizations" as the core, and vigorously develops prefabricated buildings. 22 prefabricated construction industry bases have been built, covering parts and components production, design research and development, and personnel training. The annual production capacity of precast concrete components is approximately 2.1 million cubic meters, the production capacity of internal partition wall components is approximately 14 million square meters, and the annual production capacity of steel structure components is approximately 1.5 million tons, which can meet the construction needs of 10 million square meters of prefabricated construction projects. Chinese first construction industry modernization research institute was established to promote industry collaborative innovation, achievement transformation and talent gathering.

The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has also promoted the integrated development of building industrialization and green building from the three aspects of standards, management and industry.
