The steel truss of the EPC project of Danzhou Sports Center, the first prefabricated stadium in Hainan Province, was successfully hoisted for the first time

A few days ago, the first steel truss hoisting unit of the EPC project stadium of the Danzhou Sports Center, the main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 6th Provincial Games of Hainan Province in 2022, undertaken by the First Bureau of China Construction, officially began hoisting. It marks that the project has fully entered the construction stage of the main steel structure.

It is reported that the steel truss hoisted this time is a giant cantilever truss, weighing 45 tons and 30 meters long. It is difficult to hoist and has high installation accuracy. The project team uses a 300-ton crawler crane to better match the docking interface by adjusting the rope after lifting, and uses auxiliary measures to make fine adjustments to ensure installation accuracy. According to the project management personnel, the project is the first prefabricated stadium in Hainan Province. The steel trusses are all standardized designs and factory-produced prefabricated. The entire stadium steel trusses total 72 trusses, with a total weight of 5,025 tons. Through a series of difficult operations such as ground assembly and high-altitude positioning, it is expected that the steel structure will be fully roofed by the end of March.

As the main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Provincial Games and a key livelihood project in Danzhou City, the project has received extensive attention from all walks of life since its construction. In order to complete the construction tasks as scheduled, China Construction First Bureau, one company overcame difficulties, reversed the schedule, and accelerated the project construction process with strict quality management.

The EPC project of Danzhou Sports Center is located in the Eastern New District of Danzhou City, with a total construction area of 101,800 square meters, including 30,000 stadiums, more than 5,000 gymnasiums and nearly 1,000 swimming pools. After completion, it will host domestic first-class sports events and cultural performances, serve the construction of sports culture in Hainan Free Trade Port, and realize the balanced development of national fitness and competitive sports.
