On January 15, Zaozhuang City held a press conference on the city's housing and urban-rural construction work during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. The Lightning News reporter learned from the meeting that during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the construction industry in Zaozhuang City completed a total output value of 174.148 billion yuan, realized an added value of 49.51 billion yuan, a construction output value of 27.727 billion yuan (as of the end of November 2020), and paid 7.577 billion yuan in taxes.

Adhere to high-standard planning, high-quality construction, and high-efficiency management, vigorously promote green buildings and prefabricated buildings, and promote the high-quality development of the construction industry. In the city-wide pilot project general contracting and whole-process engineering consulting were implemented. 18 construction companies were listed as the Shandong Province general contracting pilot companies, and 3 companies were listed as the Shandong Province full-process engineering consulting pilot companies. Seven projects were listed as a pilot project for general contracting in Shandong Province, and one project was listed as a pilot project for full-process engineering consulting in Shandong Province. At present, there are 557 construction companies in the city, including 39 first-level companies, 196 second-level companies, 216 third-level companies, and 106 regardless of level.

Comprehensively promote green buildings and prefabricated buildings. The city added 27,0928 million square meters of green building projects, and the Tengzhou High-speed Railway New District was approved as a provincial-level green ecological demonstration city. 6 towns have been approved as provincial-level green ecological demonstration towns, 4 projects have been approved as provincial-level passive ultra-low-energy green building demonstrations, and 3 projects have been rated as provincial-level green smart residential areas.

The city added 2,821,300 square meters of prefabricated buildings. Tengzhou City was rated as a provincial-level pilot city for modernization of the construction industry, and Yicheng District and Taierzhuang District were rated as provincial-level prefabricated building demonstration cities. One enterprise was approved at the national and provincial level, four enterprises were approved as a provincial prefabricated construction industrial base, and three projects including the comprehensive building of the outpatient ward of the People’s Hospital of Yicheng District were approved as provincial prefabricated construction demonstration projects.

Continuously deepen the energy conservation of new buildings and energy conservation transformation of existing buildings. Urban planning areas above the county level fully implement 75% energy-saving design standards for residential buildings and 65% energy-saving design standards for public buildings. Further speed up the application of solar thermal system and building integration, and the city has added 6,861,500 square meters. Actively promote the energy-saving renovation of public buildings, completing the renovation of 156,100 square meters.
