On January 4, Kunming City's "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" series of press conferences, the fifth conference on infrastructure and urban-rural construction was held in Kunming Hall. According to Chen Han, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Kunming Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, Kunming's infrastructure and urban-rural construction has achieved significant development.

In the past five years, "Kunming Construction" has written a new chapter

Vigorously develop "Kunming Construction", accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, and comprehensively improve the development quality and benefits of the construction industry. The total output value of the construction industry increased from 207.2 billion yuan in 2015 to 356 billion yuan at the end of 2019, and construction companies increased from more than 3,000 to more than 5,000. The status of the construction industry in the national economy has been continuously strengthened and has become an important pillar industry in the city.

Speed up the transformation of construction methods. More than 10 million square meters of prefabricated buildings have been implemented. The proportion of new buildings in cities and towns implementing mandatory energy-saving standards reached 100%, and a total of 136 million square meters of energy-saving buildings were added.

The proportion of urban green buildings in new buildings has increased significantly from 24.53% in 2016 to 79.49% in 2020. The green production capacity of ready-mixed concrete in the city accounts for about 71%, and the market application rate reaches over 82%. The city's promotion of building energy conservation has achieved social savings of over 4.047 billion yuan, an increase of 147% over the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, and an increase in energy conservation and emission reduction contribution of approximately 2.885 billion yuan.
