The first prefabricated building industrialization base in eastern Hainan was officially put into operation

On the morning of December 29, the first prefabricated construction base in eastern Hainan-Haijian Group Haijian Wanning Construction Industrialization Base Project held a commissioning ceremony.

In May 2020, the Hainan Provincial Government issued the "Notice on Accelerating the Development of Prefabricated Buildings", stating that by the end of 2022, the proportion of prefabricated construction should not be less than 80% of the city and county's annual commercial housing implementation plans.

The Haijian Wanning Construction Industrialization Base project is one of the centralized construction projects of the Hainan Free Trade Pilot Zone (the fifth batch). Since the start of construction, it has attracted attention and support from all walks of life. The park covers an area of 130.89 acres (about 87199 square meters). The total investment is about 250 million yuan, and the designed production capacity is 150,000 cubic meters per year. Supporting the construction of a research and development base, including related equipment and ancillary rooms, materials laboratories, technology research and development centers, BIM+VR visualization exhibition halls, construction of scientific research centers, talent training centers and supporting product production areas. Integrating the functions of building industrialized manufacturing, demonstration, and scientific research, the business radiation radius can fully cover the production gap in eastern Hainan Province, and the products are highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and intensive.

Liu Lianwei, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that the commissioning of the base will simultaneously promote the high-quality development of construction-related industries in Wanning and eastern Hainan, such as ecological and environmental protection, green construction, and trade logistics. It is an important industrial fulcrum to promote the development of the prefabricated construction industry in Hainan Province. It is of important strategic significance for realizing the layout of the construction industry in the province. It is expected that the technological transformation and innovation of the base will increase production capacity. Speed up the research and development of technology and products, such as the production of pre-stressed laminated floors, that is, the production of new products such as laminated floors without ribs.

According to reports, prefabricated buildings can ensure engineering quality, reduce potential safety hazards, improve production efficiency, reduce labor costs, energy conservation, environmental protection, and reduce pollution. These advantages have become the general trend in the industry.

At present, Hainan's first prefabricated demonstration project——Haijian Construction Industrialization Base Office and Living Area Project, and the first prefabricated PC and BIM technology special application high-rise residential project——Lingshan Home Project and other provincial demonstration projects have been completed.
