Guangdong Province's first national pilot construction of steel structure prefabricated housing has reached a new level

On the morning of December 26, the last piece of steel structure rose slowly and steadily landed on the top of Building No. 1 of the EPC Project of Steel Structure Prefabricated Public Rental Housing in Zhanjiang City. It announced that the steel structure prefabricated public rental housing in Zhanjiang City, after a year of intensive construction, has successfully achieved the joint goal of the main steel structure of Building One. It marks a new step for the pilot construction of the first national steel structure prefabricated residential building in Guangdong Province.

The steel structure prefabricated public rental housing EPC project on the south side of Dongsheng Road and Nonglin Second Road in Zhanjiang City is a key livelihood project invested and constructed by the Zhanjiang Municipal Party Committee and Government. The EPC general contractor is China State Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. The total construction area of the project is about 109,000 square meters, including two public rental houses on Dongsheng Road and Nonglin Er Road. Among them, the public rental housing on Dongsheng Road is composed of three single buildings, with two underground floors and 32, 28, and 30 floors above ground, which are required to meet the national prefabricated building A-level standards and the national green building standards. After the project is delivered, it will provide 1,380 public rental housing for local young teachers, young doctors, sanitation workers, bus drivers and other multi-level groups.

As the first steel structure prefabricated residential project in the Western Guangdong Economic Circle, its construction process has realized factory intelligent prefabrication and on-site modular installation. The construction process adopts the industry's advanced management mode. At the same time, it combines intelligent and ecological management concepts such as smart construction sites, green construction, BIM construction, and red construction sites. In July of this year, the project has been identified by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as one of the first pilot projects for the construction of steel-structure prefabricated houses in the country, and only two pilot projects nationwide.

It is reported that CSCEC is the largest steel structure industry group in China. At present, the accumulated number of prefabricated construction projects has reached more than 100, and the construction area has exceeded 5 million square meters.
