The renovation of old communities in cities and towns in Sichuan Province has started 4,193 new ones, benefiting 462,800 residents

The 2020 "Government Work Report" proposes that 39,000 old communities in cities and towns will be renovated nationwide, support pipe network renovation, installation of elevators, etc., and develop diverse community services such as home care, dining, and cleaning.

According to the summary of reports from various regions, from January to November 2020, 39,700 old communities in cities and towns have been newly started to renovate, involving 7,257,700 residents, and the goals and tasks set out in the "Government Work Report" have been completed. Among them, Sichuan Province has started 4,193 new projects, benefiting 462,800 residents.

From a regional perspective, Hubei Province has been affected by the epidemic, and individual communities have not yet started construction as planned. The current operating rate based on the number of communities is 98.5%. Some cities and counties in Tibet and Yunnan have adjusted their planned projects. At present, all the projects have been started based on the number of communities, and the operating rates based on the number of households are 95.6% and 91.1% respectively.
