On December 25, the Shizhong District of Zaozhuang City held a press conference to further promote the renovation of old communities. The reporter learned from the meeting that since the start of the renovation of old communities, Shizhong District has invested a total of 1.5 billion yuan to renovate 246 old communities.

Especially in 2020, in the face of the epidemic, we will overcome difficulties, rush to speed up, grab the construction period, and invest 189 million yuan to implement 102 old community reconstruction, a total of 953 buildings, 1,988,900 square meters, benefiting 20,789 households.

At present, the six major areas have been completely renovated, a total of 460,000 square meters of cement roads have been laid and 80,000 meters of sewage pipes have been cleaned. The roof is waterproofed to 180,000 square meters, the walls are painted 280,000 square meters, the greening is 160,000 square meters, and the septic tank is cleaned up to 48,000 cubic meters. Renovation of water, electricity, gas and heating was carried out in 32 old communities.

Through the renovation, the most immediate problems that the people feel, such as the dirty and poor environment, outdated facilities, incomplete supporting facilities, and difficulty in parking, have been effectively solved, the living environment has been significantly improved, and the satisfaction of the people and the appearance of the city have also been greatly improved.
