Yunyang County, Chongqing City, comprehensively promotes prefabricated building products, and builds a modern building tens of billions of industrial cluster

On December 23, the 2020 Construction Industry Modernization Summit Forum was held in Yunyang County. Many domestic experts, scholars and industry elites gathered together to discuss new opportunities for green buildings and seek new development of green industries. The reporter learned from this forum that Yunyang Country will focus on new opportunities for the modernization of the construction industry to cultivate tens of billions of industrial clusters.

The construction industry is one of the pillar industries of my country's national economy, absorbing nearly one-fifth of the rural migrant labor force, driving more than 50 related industries, and making important contributions to economic and social development, urban and rural construction, and improvement of people's livelihood. At present, my country urgently needs to further increase the scientific and technological innovation of the construction industry, accelerate the industrialization of construction represented by prefabricated buildings, and take the road of intensive and high-quality development.

As the host of this forum, Yunyang County has achieved remarkable results in promoting the modernization and transformation of the construction industry in recent years. Zhang Xuefeng, secretary of the county party committee, said that although Yunyang Green Building started late, it has developed rapidly. A large number of enterprises such as 19th Metallurgical Group, Taoyang Group, Hangxiao Steel Structure and Haicheng Industrial have settled in Yunyang Country, which has initially formed an industrial system with clear objectives, supporting policies and leading clusters.

County Mayor Qin Changde introduced that Yunyang County has 109 general contracting enterprises for construction, and the number of qualifications and high qualifications rank in the forefront of the towns in the Three Gorges reservoir area in Northeast Chongqing. At present, the local area is developing and producing new green and environmentally friendly composite building materials based on bamboo materials to further accelerate the development of the prefabricated building industry. And will seize the opportunity, take advantage of the situation, and strive to cultivate tens of billions of industrial clusters, and create a new highland for the modern development of the regional construction industry. In product research and development, we will continue to explore the use of "less specifications, more combinations" to create a variety of building facades, shapes and styles, and enrich the use of buildings.

According to Qin Changde, nearly 200,000 square meters of prefabricated buildings have been built in Yunyang County. By 2025, the county's prefabricated buildings will account for more than 30% of new buildings.

It is understood that Chongqing is currently accelerating the modernization of the construction industry and promoting the high-quality development of the construction industry. Strive to achieve an output value of more than 300 billion yuan for the modern construction industry by the end of 2025 and build it into a highland for the modern construction industry in the west.
