3 projects in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province were awarded the Provincial Construction Industry Modernization Demonstration Project

They were awarded the provincial construction industry modernization demonstration project, including the prefabricated wood structure building complex of Inspur Big Data Industrial Park, which is also the first prefabricated wood structure building in Wuxi City to win the award.

A few days ago, in the Inspur Big Data Industrial Park on the east side of Fengrun Road in Taihu New Town, Wuxi City, workers are building the two-story reinforced concrete floor below. “It is expected that at the beginning of next month, four-five-five two-story wooden buildings will rise from the ground.” The person in charge of the project said that unlike the "small wooden house" in the impression of citizens, the prefabricated building floor, wooden columns and walls are all assembled like "building blocks", and the construction process is also intelligent. The information generated during the whole life cycle of the construction project is added to the three-dimensional model to manage the whole process of design, production, construction and decoration.

"Prefabricated wood structure buildings are also the main trend in the development of green buildings in Wuxi." According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, wood-structured prefabricated buildings have the advantages of pre-production, fast construction, health and environmental protection, and also have traditional cultural connotations. They are the "top version" of green buildings. The project adopts factory production and on-site assembly construction, which effectively improves the construction efficiency of the building. The construction period is only half of the concrete structure of the same scale.

Also evaluated this time are the largest TOD project in Wuxi City, the subway superstructure project of the Juqu Road Depot of Metro Line 4, and a steel structure residential project in Xidong New Town. Up to now, Wuxi has declared and approved 78 various demonstration projects and bases in the province.
