In recent years, Guangdong Province has vigorously promoted prefabricated buildings. According to data, as of the end of August 2020, 24.237900 square meters of prefabricated buildings have been started in the province, accounting for approximately 10.73% of the newly started construction area.

Since the "13th Five-Year Plan", prefabricated buildings in Guangdong Province have been built from scratch, and the province has built a total of more than 75 million square meters of prefabricated buildings. A total of about 20 million square meters of prefabricated buildings have been completed, and the total amount of prefabricated buildings in the province has continued to increase.

The event was held in the "Yunchengyuan" project. It is reported that the construction unit of the project was the general contractor of the China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau, a company located in Huadu Distinct, Guangzhou Province. According to the relevant person in charge of the company, the total construction area of the project is about 279,100 square meters. With the core design concept of "Technology, Wisdom, and the Future", the project is the first three-dimensional urban TOD complex project in Foshan City, also known as the "Sky City" in Nanhai District, Foshan City.

At the same time, the project insists on using and promoting new technology, creating new benchmarks, and comprehensively adopting green, smart, and technological construction technologies in the project construction process. The biggest highlight of the construction is the extensive use of prefabricated construction techniques, of which prefabricated floor slabs, prefabricated stairs, toilet caissons, internal partition walls, integral bathrooms, kitchens, etc. are all prefabricated. The overall assembly rate of the project accounts for 61%.

According to the project leader Jiang Sen, the components required for construction are processed and customized in the component factory in advance, and then the processed components are directly transported to the construction site, and the prefabricated components are assembled on-site through the project management team.

According to reports, at present, Guangdong province has identified 1 national prefabricated building model city, 1 national prefabricated building model city, 2 provincial prefabricated building model cities, and 21 national prefabricated building industry bases and 66 provincial-level prefabricated construction industry bases.

There are 53 prefabricated concrete prefabricated parts enterprises in the province, 233 production lines, and a designed production capacity of about 5.3702 million tons. There are 18 prefabricated steel structure component enterprises, 67 production lines, and a designed production capacity of about 2.368 million tons. A large-scale prefabricated building prefabricated component industry cluster is initially formed, and the industrial chain is basically formed.
