The annual production capacity of prefabricated buildings in Hunan exceeds 30 million square meters

Economic and environmental protection are fully considered in the design and construction process, and the use and operation process are more energy-efficient and more comfortable... In recent years, green buildings have been understood and accepted by more and more citizens. The reporter learned from the 2020 Hunan Construction Technology and Green Building Industry Summit held on December 10 that Hunan is vigorously promoting the legislative work of the "Hunan Province Green Building Development Regulations". The province's annual production capacity of prefabricated buildings has exceeded 30 million square meters, with a total output value of 90 billion yuan, and prefabricated buildings accounted for 37.89% of the newly built building area, maintaining a leading position in the country.

"Hunan is a major construction province, and the construction industry has always been a pillar industry of Hunan's economy." said Gao Dongshan, a first-level inspector of the Provincial Housing and Construction Department. Last year, the total output value of Hunan's construction industry reached 1.08 trillion yuan. In the first three quarters of this year, it rose against the trend and maintained a stable development trend.

Up to now, Hunan has 2 national prefabricated building demonstration cities, 1 demonstration park, and 6 provincial prefabricated building demonstration cities, achieving "full coverage" of 14 prefabricated building production bases and projects in 14 cities and prefectures. There are more than 50 various types of prefabricated construction enterprises, of which 14 are national prefabricated construction industrial bases. Hunan Province is vigorously promoting the construction of an intelligent manufacturing platform for the entire industry chain of prefabricated buildings in the province, comprehensively improving the level of smart construction, and striving to build Hunan into a national prefabricated building technology innovation highland and software delivery center.

In May of this year, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "Hunan Province "Green Housing and Construction" Development Plan (2020-2025)". It is clearly stated that by 2025, the implementation rate of the energy-saving standards for new urban buildings in Hunan will be more than 70%, and the completed area of new green buildings in cities and towns will account for more than 60% of the completed area of new civil buildings,  urban prefabricated buildings account for more than 30% of new buildings.
