Harbin City launched the first phase of prefabricated building information modeling (BIM) skills training series

On December 4, the launching ceremony of the prefabricated building information modeling (BIM) skills training series jointly organized by the Harbin Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Development was held in the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The heads of relevant departments of the Provincial and Municipal Bureau of Housing, Urban-Rural Development and Human Resources and Social Security, and the heads of the Municipal Prefabricated Construction Industry Association attended the launching ceremony. Participating leaders awarded the two first batch of building information modeling (BIM) skill training bases-Heilongjiang Construction Science and Innovation Investment Co., Ltd. and Harbin Modular Construction Technology Co., Ltd.

It is understood that the prefabricated building information model (BIM) skills training is jointly organized and implemented by the Vocational Skills Training Guidance Center of Harbin Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and the Municipal Prefabricated Construction Industry Association. ACAA/Autodesk China Education Management Center, Bentley Software Beijing Co., Ltd., Glodon Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Hongye Peer Technology Co., Ltd. provide technical support. The course adopts a combination of online theoretical teaching and offline actual operation. In response to the specific needs of the model software course proposed by the enterprise, the training main body sets up special classes to focus on improving the students' software operation ability. The first class received positive responses from different types of construction companies such as development, design, construction, and component production. More than 200 trainees participated in the training. At the end of the training, the trainees will have to take the theoretical knowledge test and the actual machine modeling assessment. Those who pass the training will receive a skill training certificate produced by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.

The prefabricated building information model (BIM) skills training is another important measure for the development of the prefabricated building industry jointly launched by the human resources and social department and the housing construction department of our city after the training of prefabricated construction workers. It solves the urgent need for BIM application technology training in prefabricated construction projects, fills the gap in the field of BIM skills training in Heilongjiang Province, and lays a solid foundation for promoting the development of a new industrialized construction mode of BIM+ prefabricated buildings.

In the future, the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Development will also carry out job training and skill competition activities at appropriate times to continuously expand the influence of prefabricated construction-related training activities, improve training effectiveness, and promote better and faster development of the city’s prefabricated construction industry.
