Combined with the implementation of prefabricated buildings in Dongguan, on November 12, the Dongguan Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Bureau issued a notice to further clarify the scope of implementation of prefabricated buildings and related work requirements.
The notice clarified that before December 31, 2020, prefabricated construction shall be implemented in land bids, auctions, and public sale of land projects and urban renewal land projects with a built-up area of more than 100,000 square meters and financial investment civil construction projects exceeding 10,000 square meters. Starting from January 1, 2021, the land parcel projects with public transfer and urban renewal in land tenders, auctions, and urban renewal projects with a built-up area of more than 50,000 square meters, and civil construction projects with financial investment of more than 5,000 square meters shall implement prefabricated construction.
The notice requires that the construction unit shall carry out the pre-evaluation and organize the implementation of the project in accordance with the requirements of the Dongguan prefabricated building evaluation in accordance with the requirements of the Dongguan City Prefabricated Building Evaluation in accordance with the planning conditions of the project land use, the transfer contract, and the site selection opinion. At the stage of project design and construction drawing design, attention should be paid to modularization and standardization research, and a structural system suitable for the implementation of prefabricated buildings should be selected to ensure the feasibility of prefabricated buildings.
