The first prefabricated concrete structure residential project in Ezhou City, Hubei Province accelerates

On November 16th, at the site of the shantytown renovation project in the south of the city (small bridge resettlement site), we can see the concrete prefabricated components slowly raised by the large tower crane hanging, and then the workers connected and assembled the prefabricated components like building blocks.

As the first prefabricated concrete structure high-rise residential project in Ezhou City, the Chengnan Shantytown Reconstruction Project covers a total area of 214,400 square meters and a total construction area of 584,000 square meters. A total of 3998 housing units were constructed, with a green area ratio of 35% and a floor area ratio of 2.7%. Supporting the construction of community service centers, community hospitals, kindergartens, neighborhood centers, commercial service outlets, etc. The 18 main buildings of the project are all constructed with prefabricated concrete structures. The scope of prefabrication includes prefabricated interior and exterior wall panels, prefabricated laminated floor panels, prefabricated stairs, prefabricated balcony panels, and prefabricated air conditioning panels. The assembly rate is 51%.

The person in charge of the project site said that the prefabricated building has the characteristics of integrated design, industrialized production, and standardized construction. It also has the advantages of environmental protection, material saving, reduced construction intensity, and short construction period. At present, the 17 main buildings are under accelerated construction, and the main body of the kindergarten will be capped soon. The entire project is expected to be delivered in June 2022.

It is understood that the prefabricated building is an emerging construction technology that the country has vigorously promoted in recent years. A large number of building components are produced and processed by the workshop, and then transported to the construction site for assembly, making the building of houses like building blocks. Prefabricated buildings not only reduce construction pollution and save energy, but also greatly improve production efficiency and quality and safety.
