Prefabricated buildings in Hunan accounted for 37.89% of new buildings

The reporter learned from the Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on November 4 that the 19th China International Housing Industry and Construction Industrialization Products and Equipment Expo will open in Beijing on the 5th of this month. As the only representative of the local competent department in the country, this hall will make a special speech at the conference. At present, the annual production capacity of prefabricated buildings in Hunan Province has exceeded 30 million square meters, with a total output value of 90 billion yuan. Prefabricated buildings account for 37.89% of the newly built building area.

As one of the ten emerging industries and 20 advantageous industrial chains to be developed in Hunan Province, prefabricated buildings have formed a relatively mature R&D system, manufacturing system, construction system and material system. It has been awarded as the country's only prefabricated building technology innovation base and one of the country's seven pilot provinces for steel structure prefabricated residential construction.

At present, the province has 2 national prefabricated building demonstration cities, 1 demonstration park, and 6 provincial prefabricated building demonstration cities, achieving "full coverage" of 14 prefabricated building production bases and projects in 14 cities and states. There are more than 50 various types of prefabricated construction enterprises, of which 14 are national prefabricated construction industrial bases. Hunan "Building Expo" has been held for 4 consecutive sessions, forming a good atmosphere for the development of green buildings. The fifth "Building Expo" will be held in Changsha in May 2021.

The 19th China International Housing Industry and Construction Industrialization Products and Equipment Expo is supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development and hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Center for Science and Technology and Industrialization. According to Gao Dongshan, the first-level inspector of the Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Hunan Province will continue to accelerate the transformation of construction methods and technological innovation, and strive to build Hunan Province into a national prefabricated building technology innovation highland and software delivery center.
