5 prefabricated construction bases have been built in Changde City, Hunan Province

In order to accelerate the development of prefabricated buildings in Hunan Province, a few days ago, a research team from the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hunan Province visited Changde City to investigate prefabricated construction projects and held a symposium.

At the symposium, the relevant person in charge of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Changde City gave a detailed report on the promotion of prefabricated construction work in Changde City. According to reports, the structural types of prefabricated buildings in Changde City include PC structure and steel structure. Project categories include public buildings and residential buildings, schools, hospitals, office buildings, workshops, underground comprehensive pipe corridors, real estate development projects and rural collective construction communities. At the end of 2016, Changde City built the first phase I project of the PC component production base in Guanxi High-tech Industrial Park, and officially put it into operation in April 2017. Up to now, Changde City has built 5 prefabricated construction bases with a total annual production capacity of about 5 million square meters. There are 29 prefabricated construction projects completed and under construction, with a construction area of 1,989,300 square meters, including 9 projects in 2020, with a construction area of 530,200 square meters.

The research team affirmed the development of prefabricated buildings in Changde City. They requested that relevant departments should plan the development layout of the prefabricated construction industry, optimize services, speed up technological innovation, do a good job in personnel training and information management, and better promote the transformation and development of the construction industry.
