The construction of the first two-way eight-lane prefabricated open-cut arch tunnel in China is accelerated at Xinsen Avenue, High-tech Zone, Chongqing

In order to solidly promote the "Quality Month" activity with the theme of "Promoting Quality Reform and Innovation and Promoting the Construction of a Powerful Country with Quality", recently, Lin Yihua, chief engineer of Chongqing Chuandongnan Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., led a group of 30 people to the Xinsen Avenue project of the Southwest Company of China Construction Seventh Bureau to conduct benchmarking exchanges and on-site guidance on tunnel construction.

Xinsen Avenue is a key construction project of the north-south connection channel in the core area of the Western (Chongqing) Science City. Under the guidance and explanation of project manager Wang Dong, Lin Yihua and his entourage came to the construction area of the underground tunnel of the project to have a brief understanding of the structure and construction progress of the tunnel. Afterwards, everyone visited the multi-functional smart exhibition hall of the project, watched the corporate promotional video, project introduction video and animation of prefabricated tunnel construction technology, and had a deeper understanding of the project. Finally, everyone went to the prefabricated Myeongdong Tunnel prefabrication yard to observe the construction links of the prefabricated block steel bar into the form, erecting the end, pouring the concrete, removing the side form, spraying and curing, and hoisting the form.

At the invitation of the project manager, Lin Yihua gave technical guidance to the project. In this activity, through various forms such as watching videos, on-site observation, experience exchange, and guided learning, the combination of construction drawings and the construction site, and the combination of preliminary survey and design and later construction practice have been realized. The foundation of quality management has been consolidated, and the innovation process has been accelerated. The two sides expressed that they will establish long-term cooperative relations, strengthen communication and learning, achieve common progress and win-win cooperation, and contribute to the construction of a strong quality country.

At present, Xinsen Avenue is accelerating the construction of the country's first two-way eight-lane prefabricated open-cut arch tunnel, which is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in the first half of next year. After the completion of the project, it will further alleviate the traffic congestion problem of the north-south connecting channel in the core area of the Western (Chongqing) Science City, and promote the early formation of a traffic system in the Chongqing High-tech Zone that is "circular and networked, fast outside and smooth inside".
