Chongqing has started construction of more than 36 million square meters of prefabricated buildings

Recently, the reporter learned from the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee that up to now, Chongqing has started construction of more than 36 million square meters of prefabricated buildings, of which the central urban area accounts for 36% of new buildings. The advantages of prefabricated buildings in energy saving, emission reduction, and building quality improvement have gradually emerged, and have been widely recognized by the industry and society.

The first phase of the Chongqing Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences under construction is a prefabricated building project. The project not only applies advanced prefabricated building technologies such as concrete prefabricated hollow columns and large-span prestressed hollow slabs, but also through through the seamless transfer of BIM models to assist in the comprehensive implementation of pipelines, quality management of process construction methods, fine decoration applications, and whole-process tracking and control of prefabricated concrete components.

"In recent years, Chongqing has built a number of representative assembly buildings." The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee said that, for example, 36 projects such as Fuling Zhongke Building, Vanke Four Seasons Flower City, and Longhu Jiuli Qingfeng are all prefabricated building demonstration projects.

Among them, the assembly rate of the third-phase project of Chongqing Vanke Four Seasons Flower City reached 68%. The project makes full use of the advantages of prefabricated buildings, cancels the procedures such as exterior wall plastering, floor and floor, and simplifies the system of floor formwork. Organized the interspersed construction of civil engineering, installation and decoration projects, and realized a neat and orderly normalized and rapid construction. Compared with traditional construction methods, it is expected to save energy and reduce emissions by more than 30%, and the number of labor is reduced by more than 35%. The project was approved as an intelligent construction pilot project by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on February 2, 2021, becoming one of the seven pilot projects in the country.

Relevant documents of Chongqing Municipality have proposed that by 2025, the proportion of prefabricated buildings in the central urban area of Chongqing should reach more than 50% of the new construction area, which undoubtedly points the way for construction enterprises.

"All kinds of building components are produced in the factory according to customized sizes, and only professional workers are required to install them on site, and the construction efficiency is greatly improved." Yang Libo, head of Chongqing Fenggong Construction, said that in order to catch up with this trend, he specially asked the company's managers to return to the front line to learn assembly skills. From 2021, workers will be sent out in batches to study with pay, and to learn component installation in Shandong and Guangzhou. The installation strength of employees has been further improved.

The relevant person in charge said that at the beginning of the year, the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee and the Municipal Economic Information Commission issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Chongqing's Modern Construction Industry (2021-2025)" to vigorously cultivate the modern construction industry. It has introduced national leading enterprises such as China Construction International, Yuanda Housing Industry, Sany Heavy Industry, etc., cultivated a number of outstanding local enterprises such as Hengsheng Daye and Yujian Group, and established a relatively complete industrial chain.

At present, Chongqing has cultivated 6 national-level industrial bases, 29 municipal-level industrial bases, and more than 60 parts and components production enterprises, forming a modern construction industry layout with "balanced overall supply and demand and reasonable regional layout", which basically meets the city's prefabricated building construction needs, and some industries have formed external radiation capabilities.
