Wuxiang New District in Nanning has achieved 100% green building coverage

Recently, the reporter learned from the Guangxi Department of Commerce that the Wuxiang New District in Nanning, Guangxi is striving to build a green ecological demonstration city. After more than seven years of hard work, at present, the achievements and values of the Wuxiang New District are outstanding, and all indicators have fully met the standards.

Wuxiang New District, a green ecological demonstration city in Nanning, has achieved remarkable results in green buildings, smart cities, and ecological construction. Among them, the ecological construction effect of Wuxiang New District is outstanding, the environmental quality has been greatly improved, and a circulating water system and a high-quality ecological green space system have been formed. At present, the green space rate of Wuxiang New District is 42.75%, and the green coverage rate is 41%. The per capita green area of the park is 18.01 square meters, which has achieved the planning goal of "seeing green at 300 meters and garden at 500 meters", which is at an advanced level compared with developed areas in China.

Wuxiang New District has also established a green ecological corridor consisting of Wuxiang Lake Park, Wuxiang Forest Park, Central Park, Headquarters Leisure Park, Wuxiang Lake and Panlong Water System. This enables citizens to get closer to the natural water system and the environment becomes more livable.

At the same time, Wuxiang New District has achieved 100% green building coverage. In the newly built green building area of 22.92 million square meters, the proportion of two-star and above green buildings is 87%, which is at the advanced level in the national green ecological demonstration city.

As of December 2021, Wuxiang New District has built a total of 71 smart communities, smart offices and smart campuses, with a smart building area of about 18.85 million square meters. Among them, one-star accounted for about 8.5%, two-star accounted for about 80.3%, three-star accounted for about 11.3%, and the scale of intelligent building construction was leading in the region.

In addition, Wuxiang New District also makes full use of the underground space to build a composite three-dimensional transportation system, realizes the integration of multi-modal transportation, and forms a new three-dimensional green transportation system integrating "bus + slow travel".

In the next step, Wuxiang New District will continue to promote the construction of high-quality green cities, explore a new mode of construction and operation of "green building +", further standardize the design and construction standards of green buildings, and consolidate the effectiveness of green building acceptance.
