Xuzhou Power Supply Company: Prefabricated substations help enterprises put into operation early

"Successful power transmission, everything is normal!" On July 24, the substation located in the Xinyi New Energy Manufacturing Base of Zhongqing Group succeeded in power transmission. It is reported that the substation is the first 110 kV prefabricated substation in Xinyi City, and its smooth power transmission provides an effective guarantee for the early commissioning and early effect of the second phase of the base project.

The prefabricated substation has changed the traditional electrical system layout, civil engineering design and construction mode of the substation. The substation is constructed through two stages of production prefabrication and on-site installation. It has the technical characteristics of standardization, modularization and prefabrication. It not only has fast construction speed, small footprint, and low engineering investment, but also can solve power supply problems quickly, efficiently and with high quality.

"The prefabricated substation shortens the construction period and provides a guarantee for the early commissioning and early effect of the second-phase project of the base." said Yu Yihui, head of the Xinyi New Energy Manufacturing Base of Zhongqing Group.

It is reported that the Xinyi New Energy Industrial Base of Zhongqing Group has a total investment of 7.9 billion yuan. It mainly produces high-power photovoltaic modules, new photovoltaic cells and supporting energy storage, charging piles and other equipment. It is a major project in the new energy industry introduced by the local government in 2021. The first phase of the project was put into operation in September last year, and two production lines were built, using 10 kV voltage level for power supply; the second phase of the project plans to add 24 production lines, and plans to build a 110 kV user-side dedicated substation to meet its own production electricity needs.

According to the project implementation schedule requirements and the production and efficiency plan, the substation needs to be put into operation at the end of July. If the traditional open substation mode is adopted, the construction personnel need to spend a lot of time to complete the preliminary work such as foundation excavation and concrete pouring.

After learning about the situation, the Xinyi Power Supply Company took the initiative to help the company analyze the substation construction needs, and suggested that the company configure a prefabricated substation, which was adopted by the company.

"All switch cabinets, primary and secondary equipment in the fabricated substation are manufactured in the factory, packaged in a steel structure cabin with excellent performance, and can be directly transported to the site for direct hoisting and debugging. Compared with traditional substations, the construction period is shorter." said Yan Huaijiao, head of the marketing department of Xinyi Power Supply Company.

Subsequently, Xinyi Power Supply Company set up a special service class to investigate the site in detail, assist Zhongqing Group in the modular design of the entire station cabin, and timely connect with equipment manufacturers, provide technical guidance for equipment selection, layout and debugging, and help the project to be put into production as soon as possible.

On July 3, the 110 kV Zhongqing photovoltaic prefabricated substation was delivered to the site. On July 24, the equipment commissioning of the whole station was completed and the power transmission was successful. From entering construction to power transmission and commissioning, the construction time is at least 2 months shorter than traditional open substations.
